How do we do Rescue Diver at Scubadivepro?
Rescue Diver prepares you to recognize problems before they occur.
Emergency situations require fast, coordinated and correct action, which is what the Rescue Diver course is all about.
In theory, we discuss accident procedures, CPR, mouth-to-mouth, stress and panic, finding a victim and much more.
In the practical part, many of the exercises focus on the correct rescue of a person in need of assistance.
From the approach to the victim, on salvation, to first aid on the ground, we will see all this and more.
This course is very personal, usually only 1-2 students per instructor, to ensure that the participant acquires the necessary knowledge.
The Rescue Diver is not only a qualification, but a responsibility towards our fellow divers. It must be acquired to help.

What are the age requirements?

The minimum age is 14 years old.
Do you dive all year round in Tenerife?
- Yes, Tenerife offers good diving conditions all year round, so we are open every month, there is always something to see underwater!
What is the water temperature in Tenerife?
- The water temperature in summer is around 24°C and in the winter months it can drop to 19°C.
- There are no large temperature changes between the surface and the depths.
- You are usually pretty good in a 5 mm wetsuit, although 7 mm is also fine.
What do I need to bring?
- Bathing suit and towel
- Sunscreen (optional)

How long is the course
- 2-3 days, but if the student prefers it could be done in 3 days.
- In the case of doing the EFR course at least 3 days.
can i climb teide or fly after diving?
- Following the rules, after a normal dive you must wait 12h before boarding the plane or going to Teide.
- After several dives or really deep dives, the norm is 18h.
- In general terms: Don’t do it the same day after the dive, but you can go to Teide and jump directly into the water afterwards, no problem!
