What does the Advanced course consist of?
Upon completion of the Open Water Coursecourse, the Advanced Adventurer Course is your gateway to advanced diving, where you will do 5 adventure dives designed to improve your skills and confidence underwater. Two of these dives are mandatory: the deep dive, which will allow you to explore up to 30 meters deep, and the orientation dive, where you will learn to use a compass to navigate like an expert.
In addition, at Scubadivepro Tenerife we usually complete the course with three additional exciting adventures: wreck diving, ideal for exploring sunken ships such as the famous wreck El Peñon in TabaibaThe night dive or boat dive, which gives you a unique perspective of the ocean; and the buoyancy improvement, essential to control your movements with precision and save energy. The latter we usually do at the Abades dive site.

Benefits of the Advanced course
Once certified as an Advanced Open Water Diver, you will be able to dive to a maximum depth of 30 meters (21 meters for divers between 12 and 14 years old).
In other words, you will be able to dive in the best dive sites in the world without the need for further certification.
This course consolidates what you have learned and develops new skills by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun with scuba diving.
You will polish your techniques by doing five adventure dives of which two are mandatory, the navigation adventure and the deep dive adventure. The other three adventures you will be able to select although being in Tenerife we recommend you not to miss, the night dive and the wreck dive, since here we are lucky to have some spectacular wrecks, especially we have the privilege of being located just a few meters from the El Peñon Wreck.
No exam, just fun!

What are the age requirements?

The minimum age is 14 years old.
Do you dive all year round in Tenerife?
- Yes, Tenerife offers good diving conditions all year round, so we are open every month, there is always something to see underwater!
What is the water temperature in Tenerife?
- The water temperature in summer is around 24°C and in the winter months it can drop to 19°C.
- There are no large temperature changes between the surface and the depths.
- You are usually pretty good in a 5 mm wetsuit, although 7 mm is also fine.
What do I need to bring?
- Bathing suit and towel
- Sunscreen (optional)

How long is the course
- 2-3 days, but if the student prefers it could be done in 3 days.
- In the case of doing the deep diving course as well, 5 days.
can i climb teide or fly after diving?
- Following the rules, after a normal dive you must wait 12h before boarding the plane or going to Teide.
- After several dives or really deep dives, the norm is 18h.
- In general terms: Don’t do it the same day after the dive, but you can go to Teide and jump directly into the water afterwards, no problem!
