What is the Open Water course?
If you’ve ever been curious about what the underwater world is like and would like to discover new adventures this is where it all begins.
The Open Water Diver course will be your best choice, it is the most popular diving course in the world, and has introduced millions of people to the diving lifestyle. During the course you will do at least five confined water dives and four open water dives under the supervision of your Instructor.
We will also teach you dive equipment considerations for your local dive environment, how to plan and conduct dives, and how to prevent and manage problems.

What does the Open Water course consist of?
The Open Water Diver course consists of 3 main phases:
1º Knowledge development (online, home study or in a classroom) to understand the basic principles of scuba diving
2nd dives in confined water to learn basic diving techniques.
3rd open water dives to brush up your skills and explore!
The duration of the course is three or four days depending on the needs of each student.
Open Water Divers are qualified to dive worldwide autonomously always with a buddy.
To sign up for the Open Diver or Junior Open Water Diver course, you must:
Be 10 years of age or older (eLearning requires a minimum age of 13 years, due to international Internet legislation).

Is it safe for beginners?

Do you dive all year round in Tenerife?
- Yes, Tenerife offers good diving conditions all year round, so we are open every month, there is always something to see underwater!
What is the water temperature in Tenerife?
- The water temperature in summer is around 24°C and in the winter months it can drop to 19°C.
- There are no large temperature changes between the surface and the depths.
- You are usually pretty good in a 5 mm wetsuit, although 7 mm is also fine.
What do I need to bring?
- Bathing suit and towel

How long is the course
- 2 days, but if the student prefers it could be done in 3 days.
can i climb teide or fly after diving?
- Following the rules, after a normal dive you must wait 12h before boarding the plane or going to Teide.
- After several dives or really deep dives, the norm is 18h.
- In general terms: Don’t do it the same day after the dive, but you can go to Teide and jump directly into the water afterwards, no problem!
