What does the Assistant Instructor course involve?
1. Teaching techniques: You’ll learn to deliver theory, pool sessions and assist in courses such as Open Water or Scuba Skills Update.
2. Academic presentations: You’ll practise how to explain diving concepts in the classroom clearly and professionally.
3. In-water practice: You’ll develop skills to supervise, evaluate and assist students underwater.
4. Assessment and safety: You’ll learn to recognise and manage risks during training.
What can you do as an Assistant Instructor?
– Assist an instructor at all training levels.
– Independently deliver some programmes such as Scuba Skills Update, Try Scuba, and theoretical parts of other courses.
– Be a stepping stone to the Instructor Training Course (ITC).
